Meaning Behind the Art:
Do you automatically start to breathe more deeply or slowly when you start to feel anxious?
This is one of the first things I learned from dealing with anxiety and now it's almost an automatic reflex.
When we focus on regulating our breathing, our attention shifts from that thing that brought on our anxiety in the first place. Regulated breathing lowers our blood pressure and heart rate, reduces levels of stress hormones, balances levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood and more.
It truly does cleanse/regulate the body.
What a beautiful gift to have, the breath of life.
