Be Filled

Here we go, I needed a quick power nap in order to put the effort in that was needed to write this to you. I'm learning to speak of my weaknesses because that's when the Lord is strong. I trust that He'll show up through my words.

After taking the time to look back on what I journalled while I was creating this last piece; Titled Be Filled, I came away with a verse. This verse stood out to me in July and today, when I looked back.

Hebrews 2:1, 3-4
“We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.”

This verse seems pertinent to being filled.

It is a common prayer of mine to be filled, as I am nothing apart from Him.

Below is a personal prayer taken from my July 5th journal, during the creating of this piece.

“Lord, I don’t want to keep you at arms length. Thank you for this beautiful relationship that you invited me into. Fill me today God and may I walk in your ways. May I be aware of the signs, wonders, miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit that you impart through those around me. May they point me back to you. You are such a good Father.
Amen”
One summer day my family and I were on the road heading west, as we often do from Chilliwack and we stopped in at the gas station. My husband jumped out of the SUV and I sat in the passenger seat. What stood infront of me spoke to me in a new way on this particular morning. Instead of a slogan, it felt like a reminder from the Lord,
to 'Never Run On Empty' but instead
Be Filled.
The piece I'm sharing with you today is a reminder to come back to the Lord of all, to be filled. How exciting that He doesn't expect us to do things on our own strength.

We have an almighty Father who wants us to spend time with Him and in return He gives us peace through turmoil, strength when we're weak and presence through each storm. How glorious is He?!

This piece has been titled Be Filled and it is the final piece in the new mixed media collection titled All Will Be Made New
Don't tell the others, but this piece has a special place in my heart. The reminder to take hold and carve out the quiet moments to be with our Lord, is just something that strikes a chord with me.

We have so much to be grateful for as children of God, may we never take a moment for granted.

Be filled with the beauty of nature that He surrounds us with. Be filled with all the yummy food he created for us to enjoy. Be filled with the people He has handpicked to be part of your life. Be filled with the adventure He takes you on. Be filled with his goodness even when the dark clouds loom. He will sustain you, hold on and let the storm pass you by. The sun will rise again.
'Be Filled'
This is the 7th of 7 pieces in the all new mixed media collection that I will be launching in October 2025! It is 24" x 18" on streched canvas. I'm so thrilled to be introducing you to this collection. My prayer is that it would bring connection, hope and encouragement to you.
